How Anthem Injury Lawyers is Investing in the Future of Las Vegas Law
Some mentors change the trajectory of a career. Others change the trajectory of life. For Puneet K. Garg, Esq., co-founding partner of Anthem Injury Lawyers, Justice Michael L. Douglas was both.
That’s why Anthem Injury Lawyers is proud to announce a $50,000 pledge to the Justice Michael L. Douglas Pre-Law Fellowship at the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This is a meaningful tribute to the man who helped shape a lawyer, and a firm-wide commitment to the community that Anthem serves every day.
A Mentor Worth Honoring
Justice Michael L. Douglas is a towering figure in Nevada legal history, serving as the first Black Justice on the Supreme Court of Nevada. His jurisprudence, his character, and his belief in mentoring the next generation left a lasting mark on the state’s legal community. For the young lawyers who passed through his chambers, that influence was immediate and enduring.
Puneet Garg was one of those young lawyers. A proud member of the Boyd Law Class of 2005, Garg served as a law clerk for Justice Douglas, an experience he describes as one of the most formative of his professional life. What Garg took away from those chambers went beyond legal technique. It was an understanding of what the law is for, and what it demands of the people who practice it.
Decades later, as co-founding partner of one of Las Vegas’ most respected personal injury firms, Garg found a way to say thank you. Not just to Justice Douglas personally, but to every future lawyer who might walk a similar path.
About the Justice Michael L. Douglas Pre-Law Fellowship
The Justice Michael L. Douglas Pre-Law Fellowship at UNLV Boyd School of Law was established to support aspiring lawyers committed to strengthening their communities through the practice of law. The fellowship provides resources, mentorship, and pathways for students whose ambitions are as civic as they are professional.
By pledging $50,000 to this fellowship, Anthem Injury Lawyers is investing directly in those students, helping them prepare for careers that will shape Nevada’s courts, policies, and communities for decades to come.
“We are grateful for Anthem Injury Lawyers’ investment in the next generation of legal education. This support is especially meaningful as the firm’s co-founding partner, Puneet Garg, is a member of the Boyd Law Class of 2005 and served as a law clerk for Justice Douglas. Puneet and his team are helping our Justice Douglas Pre-Law students prepare for careers dedicated to strengthening our community,” said Leah Chan Grinvald, Dean & Richard J. Morgan Professor of Law at the William S. Boyd School of Law.
This is a gift that compounds over time. Every lawyer the fellowship supports carries its values forward, into courtrooms, into negotiations, into the moments when a client most needs a skilled and principled advocate in their corner.
Community Is at the Core of What Anthem Does
Founded by Puneet K. Garg, Esq. and Anthony B. Golden, Esq., Anthem Injury Lawyers has grown into one of the Las Vegas Valley’s most trusted personal injury law firms. The firm has built its reputation by championing the rights of accident victims and ensuring that every client, regardless of background or circumstance, receives both the justice and the care they deserve.
But Anthem’s commitment has never stopped at the courthouse door. From the beginning, the firm has understood that being part of a community means investing in it. That means showing up not only when someone has been hurt, but also when the next generation of leaders needs support to find their footing.
This fellowship pledge is the clearest expression yet of that philosophy. It connects the firm’s past, the mentors and institutions that shaped its founders, to its future and to the future of Las Vegas itself.
Investing in the Lawyers Who Will Serve Las Vegas Tomorrow
Las Vegas is a city that never stops growing, and the legal needs of its residents grow with it. Accident victims need skilled advocates. Families navigating difficult moments need lawyers who understand what’s at stake. Communities need legal professionals who see their work as service, not just a profession.
The Justice Michael L. Douglas Pre-Law Fellowship is helping produce exactly those lawyers. And through this pledge, Anthem Injury Lawyers is making sure that more students have the opportunity to walk through that door.
For Puneet Garg, it’s a full-circle moment, honoring the mentor who believed in him by investing in the students who will carry that legacy forward. For Anthem Injury Lawyers as a firm, it’s a statement of values: that success in law carries with it a responsibility to lift others, to strengthen the community, and to give back.
Justice Douglas gave that lesson freely. Anthem is passing it on.
