Nevada Car Accident Lawyer

MEET OUR TEAM: STEPHANIE CISNEROS ROJAS

This month Anthem Injury Lawyers interviewed our Case Manager, Stephanie Cisneros Rojas. We learned a lot about her interest in the legal field and her passion for true crime podcasts. The transcript of the interview is included below.

Case Manager

AIL: What do you do at Anthem Injury Lawyers?

SCR: I am a Case Manager. I pretty much oversee client communication and I work with the attorneys to properly manage the case. I reach out to our clients to follow-up regarding treatment and I help coordinate with other offices.

AIL: It sounds like you are the all-around person for cases. Do you do this for every client that comes in the office?

SCR: No, there’s a few different Case Managers here and I’m just one of them.

AIL: What’s your favorite thing about working at Anthem Injury Lawyers?

SCR: I love that every day is really different. There is definitely never a boring day as a Case Manager. The environment is really nice. It’s great to know that everybody is really dedicated and motivated to help our clients and it’s easy to see that with all the team members.

AIL: How did you get started in this career?

SCR: My ultimate career goal is to attend law school and become an attorney myself. When I graduated from UNLV I wanted to take some time away from school and see if working at a law firm and becoming an attorney was really what I wanted to do. So, I got a job at a different law firm and then I moved to Anthem and that’s kind of how it’s going. I want and hope to become an attorney in the future and gaining all this experience is going to be really helpful for that.

AIL: Do you think when you go to law school that you’re going to want to practice personal injury law or are there any other areas that interest you?

SCR: I’m honestly not sure. I’ve only ever worked at personal injury law firms so all the experience that I have is on the pre-litigation side. I have a really good understanding of how to work on a case from beginning to end. I’m open to anything really.

AIL: What’s one thing that surprised you about working at Anthem Injury Lawyers?

SCR: How willing everyone is to teach and help everyone grow. Also, all the guidance and support that is given from everyone—from the attorneys, from my director, from all my other team members. It’s a really supportive environment.

AIL: What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?

SCR: I kind of helped to start a new position here a little bit after I started. I wanted to help the firm gather more in-depth, important details about our clients’ lives to show the insurance companies how our clients have been truly affected. That’s when we came up with the Communications Specialist position. I was the first one that did that and then it switched over to Daniela when she started.

AIL: That’s really cool. It sounds like you’ve made a really big difference.

SCR: I hope I have.

Caffeine and Podcasts

AIL: How do you prefer to start your day?

SCR: Most definitely by drinking a cup of coffee. But, once I’ve had a cup of coffee and woken up, I like to listen to either some music or maybe a fun podcast.

AIL: Do you have any good podcasts that you’ve been listening to lately?

SCR: I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts. I think one of them is called Crime Junkie. I’ll listen to more news related ones from NPR. Just random podcasts.

I also like to watch a lot of YouTube videos in my spare time. I’ll just listen to a lot of true crime videos. Stephanie Harlowe is a big one. There are a couple others that look into missing people and how they’re still missing and are just trying to get awareness out on the missing people. There’s a lot about true crime that I find interesting.

AIL: What energizes you at work?

SCR: A few cups of coffee [laughing].

AIL: What’s your go-to coffee order?

SCR: Since we got a really nice coffee machine here, I don’t go out that much. If I do go out, I like a basic vanilla latte. Here at work, I’ll get one shot of espresso and do French vanilla coffee.

Other than the coffee, obviously helping our clients is very motivating. It feels really rewarding to kind of help someone become whole or almost whole again after they’ve been through a traumatic experience and have been in pain and have been suffering. It’s nice to see somebody at the end of their case be happy and feel better about their experience.

AIL: I bet that helps you know that your work is important and that it matters.

SCR: Exactly, especially when clients are telling you that they’re grateful. It’s really nice.

The Best Ways to Relax

AIL: What’s one of your favorite memories from the past year?

SCR: There’s one team-building outing that we had with the whole firm together that was really fun. We had axe throwing and there was a smash room. In the smash room they could just smash random equipment like in an office. It was really funny to see some of the attorneys smashing up a bunch of stuff. I got to do a lot of axe throwing. That was fun.

AIL: How did you do at axe throwing?

SCR: I think I did pretty good. I also missed a lot but when I hit it, I was pretty close to bullseye.

AIL: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

SCR: Some days I’ll just go home and get into comfy clothes and just relax. I’ve been getting really into playing on my Nintendo Switch lately.

If I’m not going home just to relax, I’m probably hanging out with family or friends. Maybe going to dinner—just relaxing and talking.

AIL: Do you have favorite games on the Nintendo Switch?

SCR: Yes, Animal Crossing. That’s like the only game I have. It’s really random and I can just dive in to building. It’s fun.

AIL: What three words would your friends use to describe you?

SCR: Easygoing, reliable, and kind.

AIL: What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?

SCR: Spending time with family or friends. My parents have a few pets, so spending some time with them.

Meal prepping for the upcoming week. Or maybe just some shopping or relaxing. Food is my guilty pleasure, so meal prepping keeps me from spending too much and eating out too much.

AIL: What are some of your favorite places to eat in Las Vegas?

SCR: I don’t have a specific place, but I really love all you can eat sushi or all you can eat Korean barbecue. I like all the fun salad places as well.
