Is there anything worse than going into the department of motor vehicles (DMV)? It always seems to take a long time and involve long lines and slow systems. As you wait in line, do you find yourself thinking, “Couldn’t this be done online?” Rest assured that you are not alone. Even the Nevada DMV thinks its current system is difficult and inefficient. That’s why it recently signed a contract for its DMV Transformation Effort. A modernizing effort that has already started with the unveiling of the Nevada DMV’s new website. Here, we will go over the Nevada DMV Transformation Effort and the new website.
One of the reasons for the transformation effort is the influx of new residents. Nevada is one of the fastest growing states. This growth means more drivers on the roads and consequently more accidents. If another driver injures you in a car accident, contact an experienced personal injury lawyer. A personal injury lawyer will help to protect your rights and ensure you receive maximum compensation.
As a Las Vegas accident victim you don’t want to fight alone against insurance companies. They do not have your best interests in mind. Anthem Injury Lawyers has a dedicated team of lawyers and staff ready to help you with your personal injury case. Insurance companies and other parties are not interested in helping you receive what you should as a victim in a Las Vegas accident. Your Las Vegas accident lawyer should have a proven track record of winning cases like yours for significant compensation. Our lawyers offer you 25 years of experience winning top compensation for Las Vegas accident victims.
Time is of the essence when pursuing compensation in accident cases. Don’t delay—have our Las Vegas accident lawyers review your case. Sometimes people avoid contacting an accident lawyer because they worry about cost. You don’t have to worry about affordability. Our attorneys don’t get paid unless they win your case. The DMV Transformation Effort
The DMV Transformation Effort is a $114 million project designed to transform the Nevada DMV to a “cutting-edge online storefront” over the next four years. The effort starts this month and will be an ongoing project. Instead of one giant launch, it will be a gradual transformation. The transformation has already started with the redesign of the Nevada DMV website which will be discussed in a later section.
Updated Software and Systems
The Nevada DMV is changing the way it does business from the inside out. It will now be using Salesforce, a cloud-based software, for its customer relationship management solution. It has contracted with a Salesforce integrator and a technology consultant to help with the project. One of the first tasks that it is focused on is the Nevada DMV database, which the Nevada DMV reports is “being cleansed of outdated and duplicate records and will be moved into a cloud hosting service.”
Brick-and Mortar Services
During the transformation, most services will be moved online. However, residents will still be able to go into the DMV for services and will have to go into the DMV for the following transactions:
- First-time Real ID
- Vehicle and VIN inspections
- Driver exams
- Vision tests
The transformation is expected to go beyond digital transformations and enhance brick-and-mortar services as well. Right now the DMV is working to expand its kiosk services. It expects that the online services will result in fewer people in the DMV offices and shorter lines. This is great news for anyone who has experienced the notoriously long wait times at the DMV.
Unfortunately, the DMV Transformation Effort can’t transform dangerous drivers. If a driver injures you in a Las Vegas area accident, seek medical help immediately. Once you have sought medical care, you should seek legal advice from a personal injury lawyer who specializes in car accidents. Anthem Injury Lawyers are experienced car accident lawyers who are ready to help you. Don’t delay when contacting an attorney after an accident.
