This month Anthem Injury Lawyers interviewed our Case Manager, Natalie Mora. We discussed how helping clients is her favorite part of coming to work and her growing family. The transcript of the interview is included below.
Case Manager
AIL: What do you do at Anthem Injury Lawyers?
NM: I am a Case Manager here.
AIL: What does that mean for you?
NM: Basically helping clients with managing their treatment and making sure they’re getting the help they need with going to doctor appointments. And then basically gathering their records and bills and sending that to the insurance companies that way we can get them the compensation that they deserve for what they have been through.
AIL: When you’re assigned a case, are you with that case from start to finish?
NM: Yeah, usually…unless I’m out like when I was on maternity leave. Then I came back and got a new case load but normally yes, ideally.
AIL: How long have you been with Anthem Injury Lawyers?
NM: I’ve been here almost a year now. In a couple weeks it will be a year on October first.

Helping Clients
AIL: What’s your favorite thing about working at Anthem Injury Lawyers?
NM: Working here at Anthem, everyone genuinely has our clients’ best interests at heart. We actually want to do what is right to help them. It’s my favorite part about coming to work.
AIL: What led you to this career?
NM: It was actually an accident because I was looking for an office job to help more with my kid’s school schedule but then I learned the job. I started as a receptionist and moved up fairly quickly. I loved it and since my background was in retail before this, I was very customer service oriented so that helped ease my way into it.
AIL: What’s one thing that surprised you about working at Anthem Injury Lawyers?
NM: I think it’s more that everybody works as a team. Like everybody helps each other out. Kinda like family, we have each other’s back. If I have an emergency and I’m out for the day my team will have my back 100% of the time. Same with my maternity leave, everybody was able to help on my cases when I was out.
AIL: What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
NM: Working on cases from start to finish and when we get to hand off the check to the client, especially a check that is higher than what they anticipated. To see their face of relief after their life has been affected so much. I think that that’s the best accomplishment.
Concerts in the Car and a Car Seat Meeting
AIL: How do you prefer to start your day?
NM: My day starts either by dropping off my daughter at school or dropping off my son at daycare. My daughter Naliah is seven and my son Miles is two and a half months.
With my daughter it’s more like concerts in the car all the way to school, just singing our hearts out until we’re at school. She loves Adele. That’s her number one request, always. I already know to have it ready when we jump in the car.
AIL: What energizes you at work?
NM: I think it all feeds back to my kid too, so like a good playlist. Unless I’m tired, then I drink a chai tea but normally a good playlist.
AIL: What’s one of your favorite memories from the past year?
NM: I feel like most of my answers are kid related but probably the moment my daughter met my son because she was already seven and it was something that she wasn’t really excited about until he was there and then she was all about it. It was one of those things that made me feel thankful to be where I am.
She met him when we got home from the hospital, once everything was settled. She just walked in the door and I think she already knew so she looked straight at the car seat and just ran over. It was the cutest thing.
AIL: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?
NM: I think just coming home and giving them hugs and kisses and doing homework and getting everything ready with the kids. And then obviously anything with food.
AIL: What’s your favorite meal during the week?
NM: It depends. If I’m out eating it would probably be Chick-fil-A or Chipotle or something like that.
AIL: What three words would your friends use to describe you?
NM: I would say loyal, honest, and passionate.
AIL: What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
NM: Probably anything kid friendly…bowling…movies. It’s hard right now with my son being so small we haven’t gone to the movies but normally it’s like kid friendly activities or food related so like a farmers’ market or a fair or festival.
