This month Anthem Injury Lawyers interviewed our Case Manager, Andrea Moreno. We discussed how her mom inspired her career choice and her precious fur babies. The transcript of the interview is included below.
Case Manager
AIL: What do you do at Anthem Injury Lawyers?
AM: I am a Case Manager. I assist clients throughout their cases. I help make sure that they’re getting the treatment that they need while also providing updates throughout the different phases of their case.
AIL: How long have you been with Anthem Injury Lawyers?
AM: I am coming up on seven months next month.
AIL: Have you worked in the legal industry for a long time?
AM: I have yes. But this is my first actual case managing job so I was excited.
AIL: Have you only worked in personal injury or have you worked in other areas of law as well?
AM: I have yes but I am more familiar with personal injury. I worked at a trial law firm before so that was definitely different but personal injury is what I’m most familiar with.
AIL: What’s your favorite thing about working at Anthem Injury Lawyers?
AM: I get to work with a great team. Everyone here is always willing to help and answer any questions I may have. The vibe here is great. Everyone is super helpful and I never feel nervous asking questions.
AIL: What led you to this career?
AM: My mom actually. She has actually been in the legal industry for years and I always saw her as an inspiration. She taught me so much throughout the years it was like she was preparing me for this.
AIL: Does your mom live and work in Las Vegas?
AM: She does, yes. So when I was younger, on Take Your Kid to Work Day, I was always the one she picked because I was the one most intrigued to learn.
AIL: What’s one thing that surprised you about working at Anthem Injury Lawyers?
AM: I love how they encourage you to grow with the company. When I first started here, I started off as a Legal Assistant and was quickly promoted to Case Manager.
AIL: What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
AM: Getting promoted to Case Manager was a huge accomplishment for me.
AIL: When did that happen?
AM: It happened around the beginning of August.
AIL: How is the Case Manager role different from being a Legal Assistant?
AM: I get to actually work a lot closer with the clients. I worked on pain and suffering before so I got to know clients on a personal level so when I transitioned into Case Manager and was letting the clients know I was going to be handling some of the cases, they were really supportive because we had already built a relationship.

Fur Babies
AIL: How do you prefer to start your day?
AM: Jamming out in my car on my way to work, after getting my coffee. On the weekends I love my morning snuggles with my fur babies or taking them out on our morning walks in my neighborhood.
AIL: How many fur babies do you have and what are their names?
AM: I have two. Koa is a two-year-old Golden Retriever. I also have an eight-year-old Chihuahua mix named Sarabi. I’m a huge Lion King fan.
AIL: What energizes you at work?
AM: Music and Red Bulls. The tropical one is the best.
AIL: What’s one of your favorite memories from the past year?
AM: Unfortunately, we just recently found out that one of our pups, Koa, has cancer. We were told that he wasn’t going to make it to his second birthday but he’s our little fighter and he did. So we actually celebrated by taking him to the beach for the very first time. I will never forget that. We went to Laguna Beach.
AIL: I’m so sorry, that’s really difficult.
AM: Yeah, but the memory is there and we were really, really happy and excited to be able to take him. I think that’s just one of our biggest memories that we are going to have with him forever. It was his first time touching sand and being at a beach and he absolutely loved it.
AIL: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?
AM: Definitely going home and relaxing. Just being with my boyfriend and the pups, just watching TV or something.
AIL: Do you have any top shows that you’re watching right now?
AM: We’re actually into Suits right now which is so funny because it’s all about law and lawyers.
AIL: What three words would your friends use to describe you?
AM: Funny, compassionate, and honest.
AIL: What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
AM: Spending time with the fur babies or trying new recipes because I do love to cook. I just made Tuscan Shrimp Pasta and that is one of my favorite new recipes so far.
